Erik's class was featured in the Taylorsville Journal this month. His class goes to the retirement home across the street from his school each month. They have a lot of fun singing songs, playing games and doing crafts with the residents there. Erik also gets to walk the dog that lives there. This picture is small, but look for the boy in green.

Erik's Favorite Holiday
Erik chose his own outfit for St. Patrick's Day. He said it was his favorite holiday. Riley said it is the worst holiday. He has to wear green and people think he is Erik. He popped out in Chicken Pox that day so maybe he was just a little grumpy.
This year for St. Patricks Day, we decided to build a trap to catch a Leprechaun. If we caught him he would tell us where his gold was hidden. If he got away he would most likely punish us by playing tricks on us. Our trap looks like a Leprechaun hat. We put a rock that we had painted to look like gold on top of a piece of felt over the top of the can. knowing that Leprechauns love to break rules we built a ladder out of sticks and put a sign that said Danger do not climb. When the Leprechaun tried to get the gold he would fall into the can and be trapped. We were unsuccessful. He tipped the can over and got away. We woke up to green milk and toilet water, rocks in our shoes, tiny bites in the boys sandwiches at lunch, and the worst trick of all, Riley and Tian popped out in Chicken Pox.

March, the official Sorenen new pet month
Meet, our new cat Hans Ulrich Burger-Meister of the Glen. Burger for short. I found mice yesterday so we went to the animal shelter. I was looking for a kitten, one young enough to imprint on Max, the boys fell in love with Burger. What could I do? He is a very lovey cat he is always velcro ed to someone, right now he is curled around my feet under the desk. Last night he and Max were introduced. Burger Kamikazied off the couch and chased Max into the vestibule. He went out to his kennel with tail between legs. I believe we have a new Alpha Male in the Sorensen Pack.
